We are a company specialized in the import of fertilizers to all Brazilian ports. With a history marked by integrity and commitment to our partners, we offer high-quality fertilizers for Brazilian agribusiness, ensuring safety, consistency, and transparency in every delivery.

Among various fertilizers and industrial raw materials, our main product is the nitrogen-based fertilizer Ammonium Sulphate (AS), in compacted (granular) and standard (crystal) forms. We ship over 1 million tons of this product annually to Brazil, followed by phosphate fertilizers.

Ammonium Sulphate is a highly demanded product in Brazil. Since the beginning of 2025, we represent Fertibalboa, a Singapore-based company that holds the marketing and commercialization rights of several production plants in China, to ensure compliance with our contracts from production at source.

In addition to its reputation for reliability and efficiency in the Brazilian market, Agrilaf has set records for the largest fertilizer vessels ever berthed at Brazilian ports, as well as for innovative unloading operations, always focused on making our clients operations viable.

FERTIBALBOA

FERTIBALBOA, the company we represent, holds marketing and commercialization rights in three Ammonium Sulfate production plants in China, with the ability to load vessels in three different ports:

SHANDONG YULU SUNRISE AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY: Founded in 2023, this company is a joint venture formed by three shareholders. It has an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons of AS. This unit exports through the Port of Rizhao, China.

YANTAI HONGYI AGRI-TECH: Established in 2016, it is an integrated international company specializing in Ammonium Sulphate, encompassing R&D, production, sales, and distribution. It has an annual production capacity of 500,000 tons of AS and exports through the Port of Longkou, China.

TIANJIN SHENGRUI AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY: Registered in 2018, this unit is located near the Port of Tianjin, China, with an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons of AS.

Two new production plant projects are currently underway, one scheduled for 2026 and another for 2027, reaffirming Fertibalboa’s commitment and focus on the Brazilian market.

With over 20 years of experience as Trader for some of the largest international Fertilizer Trading companies, Giovani Almeida decided in 2017 to establish his own company, based on a commitment to excellence in service, trust, and long-term relationship developed throughout his career and passed on to his team.

Our flagship product, in terms of volume, is the nitrogen fertilizer Ammonium Sulphate — a highly demanded product in Brazil. We work directly with production plants in China to ensure contract compliance from origin.

Nitrogen is essential for plant growth. It directly influences the formation of proteins, chlorophyll, and enzymes, being responsible for vegetative development, especially of leaves. Nitrogen deficiency can result in weak, yellowish plants with low yields.

Phosphate-Based Fertilizers (P)

Phosphorus plays a vital role in plant energy processes, helping the formation of strong roots, flowers, fruits, and seeds. It also supports early growth and crop vigor. Phosphorus deficiency can cause delayed development, purplish leaf coloration, and reduced reproductive structure formation.
